Day 8-What is on my reading table today

Yesterday I shared the books I have read so far this year.  I thought it would only be appropriate if, today, I shared what is currently on my reading table.

Worship: The Ultimate Priority by John MacArthur

This book has indeed been an excellent read regarding worship.  MacArthur walks through what worship is and how important it is for the believer to have worship as their top priority.  Reading this book pulls the believer out of the Sunday hour of worship and into a daily life of worshipping the Lord.  The chapters are broken into subheadings making this book easy to read smaller sections each morning in addition to your quiet time and then meditate on the concepts throughout the day.  Highly recommended.  Click here for a free preview.

STEPS: Gospel-Centered Recovery by Matt Chandler & Michael Snetzer

I didn’t know quite what to expect when our church started this Bible study a few weeks ago.  All I can say is that it has been amazing.  Centered around the gospel, the authors and the teaching videos have done an outstanding job of.  If you ever have the opportunity to take part in a STEPS Bible study in the future, I encourage you to do so.

Cure Tooth Decay: Heal & Prevent Cavities with Nutrition by Ramiel Nagel

Cavities are no stranger to our family.  Following the last dentist visit, I decided it was time to break down and purchase this book.  Shedding light on how the dentist industry works and articles from the American Dentist Association Journals, Nagel shows how nutrition plays a significant part in whether or not a tooth is more susceptible to cavities.  Already, making some changes to the diet, but look anxious to see how more health conscious decisions in our groceries impacts our overall health.

Freckles by Gene Stratton-Porter

To help keep variety in my diet, I decided to read the sequel or prequel to A Girl of the Limberlost.  Thus far it has been a great read and one I quickly jump into when I just want a break from my other reading.   Click here for a free preview.

The Mystery of the Shemitah

This book I haven’t officially started, but look forward after I finish Worship by John MacArthur.  I heard much about it when it first came out and even though I am late to the party, I look forward to reading it.  Click here for free preview.
