Day 25: Thirst Quencher

stock-footage-zoom-out-of-water-rounding-corner-spilling-over-rock-and-cascading-into-natural-poolGod answers the poor and needy that seek water. He has unlimited resources and because He is creator God, He can open rivers where there are none. He can turn deserts into pools of water and dry land into springs.

“The poor and needy seek water, but there is none; their tongues are parched with thirst. I, Yahweh, will answer them; I, the God of Israel, will not forsake them. I will open rivers on the barren heights, and springs in the middle of the plains. I will turn the desert into a pool of water and dry land into springs of water.” Isaiah 41:17-18

TassajaraWhen our poor and needy soul seeks water and our soul is parched for thirst, we can open God’s word and swim in the greatest pool of water ever given to us. (I know the whether is changing and the temperatures are cooling off so it is hard to imagine jumping in a swimming pool, so just imagine hot springs!!) When we read God’s word, He ministers to our soul’s deepest thirst and quenches it in way that no one else can. This weekend, take some time to soak up the Spring of Life. God’s word is relevant at anytime of the year and He is able to quench our thirst whether it is through iced tea, hot tea, coffee, or hot chocolate. He will open up the rivers and poor into our hearts exactly what we need.
