Psalm 23 has been on my heart for the past two days and I haven’t really known why since it is usually heard at funerals. While, it has brought many memories of our loved ones that have passed over the past years to my mind, what has been most felt from theses verses today is the calming peace that covers my soul when I hear them:
“The LORD is my shepherd; there is nothing I lack. He lets me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside quiet waters. He renews my life; He leads me along the right paths for His name’s sake.” Psalm 23:1-3
The waters that come from the Spring of Life at times are not the rushing stream or the wellspring of water bursting forth, but the quiet waters, the still waters, the waters that renew my life.
